“Successorizing”: the art of successfully accessorizing any space!

07.11.17 | Design Trends

Although the term  “successorizing” can not be found in Webster’s,  the KDI Team understands the importance of “successfully accessorizing” a space!

Far beyond pretty pencils and glittery notepads, 2017 accessories offer functionality with style like never before.  Lighting is a great example of this.  Beyond the standard on/off switch, features now include varying levels and shades of light which are capable of creating a calm/serene space or by contrast offer high levels of light to increase work focus. Sleek design and a multitude of features make lighting a fashion feature.

The slate chalkboards are now more commonly found in vintage stores, versus the classroom.  The learning, training and office environment now embraces the magnetic white board, or glass board, whether creating a fun yet functional wall covering or mobile unit for collaboration. Fun designs and patterns are just one added flair that has been gaining popularity.  Below, KDI utilized the glass board theory as a table top option for a recent trading company installation.

Desktop accessories, ranging in all types and sizes, offer an opportunity to personalize a workstation with flair in an organized fashion. Nothing says ultra-chic like felt accessories such as desk pads and storage briefcases.
